Solana DEX Raydium Hit With $1.34M Exploit Targeting Deprecated Liquidity Pools

Solana-based DEX Raydium was exploited for $1.34 million through five deprecated liquidity pools from an older AMM program. The exchange says no current users were affected and will repay funds from its treasury.

  • The attacker stole nearly $900K in USDC, $357K in SOL, and $86K in RAY from deprecated Raydium pools.
  • The exploit targeted legacy AMM V3 pools that were phased out in 2021 and no longer accessible through the UI.
  • Raydium says current mainnet programs are not vulnerable and will repay stolen funds from its treasury.
  • The exploit adds to a growing list of DeFi attacks; RAY token is down 2% in 24 hours and 96.6% off its all-time high.

Why our editor rated this negative

Another DeFi exploit is negative for the sector, though limited to deprecated pools and being repaid by treasury softens the impact.
